After lurking for about a year (and asking the occasional question), I finally ordered my FIRST Lange: A Lange 1, WG, SD, BH.
Though I know that EACH combo of metal/dial/hands has its cheering section (BTW, I don't judge and REALLY love all the combos) I would like to know who is in MY cheering section.  
So, if you own a Lange 1 in White Gold with a Silver Dial and Blued Hands, please come forward - either as a post or EMAIL (and scans are appreciated and will be done in kind when my watch arrives).
PS. This was a VERY VERY VERY hard choice (special thanks to Eric and Russell). And yes, it's so very subjective. The following 3 have, IMO, a slight deviation from the monochromatic appearance of the PG SD and Platinum stealth, for example. I realize both the MOP guilloche or non-guilloche also offer quite a different visual and craftmanship experience, they're just not quite my tastes.
Listed in order of the best:
#1 - the champion - Platinum black dial. The ultimate craft of art. Legibility is an issue, but as my friend Dennis says, who needs to tell time with it - it's a work of art, not just a watch. Dennis, next time you miss the #6 train to Soho, please don't call me.
#2 - the version I own - WG SD BH (picture posted a few threads below). The ultimate in clean presentation, and in visibility as well. What you lose without applique markers you gain in clarity as well as in the fact that in certain lighting, the subdials take on a different color than the rest of the dial. It would be interesting to see this watch in person with applique markers (NOT the stealth - that's a monochromatic dial and a TOTALLY different dial color in person) - I don't believe it exists. Sometimes this watch has a bit of a boring look to it. When that happens, I look at it under my newly purchased GE Reveal bulbs at home (natural light - removes the yellows). These bulbs make virtual any white metal watch look like it belongs in the hall of fame.
#3 - surprisingly, akin to the 100 to 1 horse that came in show, the WG BD. A real stunning watch, almost too sweet, one that perhaps should be considered as one's second or third Lange to add diversity into a "Langemanial" collection.
Looks very nice with this combo. I thought WG comes only in BD. Can you request the same combo like yours. Is there a special price you have to pay for WG/SD/BH.

Yes and no. You can request this combo from your dealer and no, it costs the same as the white gold L1.

for me, second place goes to the stealth (first if with blue hands), and third is the pink gold/sd. The wg/bh is very clean, very German, and easy to read. The stealth is very nice but almost too stealthy with monochromatic hands. The pink gold is a great shade and goes very well with the silver dial - personally, I would prefer if the indices and hands were a bit thicker. (I was initially intrigued by the MOP-Guilloche but grew tired of it.)
