OT: Why my AD is the BEST AD in the world ...
Someone left a message on the answering machine according to the red LED blinking; It was the sales person of my AD. He, Jean, invited me for dinner with him and the only thing I had to do was to "guess" the local time at his place. A few seconds of silence and then I heard a Patek 5074 doing its magic:
Dong Dong Dong Dong Dong Dong Dong Dong
Ding-Dong, Ding-Dong, Ding-Dong
Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding
8:54hr
Jean ... I am already building up an apetite!!!!!!!
Edwin

By three methods we may learn wisdom; First, by reflection, which is the noblest. Second, by imitation, which is easiest and third by experience, which is bitterest.
Answer:
Why would your AD invite you for dinner? Something special in the offing?
BTW, does L. M. have PPs like that in stock? My AD told me that a 5078 requires approval by Mr. Stern and, if granted, takes two or three years to arrive.
Answer:
book of genesis Ed! :) :) I seldom go to the garden of Eden nowadays (my local AD). :)
Answer:
Is that 5074 for you Edwin?
Answer:
If I could afford spending 380K Euro (iirc) on a watch I think I would prefer to get a different watch. 5016 or 5078 (both dont have cathedral gongs do they?) f.i. but a Tourbograph Pour le Merite is in reach as well with that amount of money. Or a simple PLM and say a DoubleSplit and Lange-31? Edwin
(sorry for the late reply)
Answer:
he did order it a few months ago. Surprisingly (relative) short wait for this lucky bastard. Edwin
