Double Split movement
Does the movement of Double Split totally new created or developed from Datograph movement? I am considering between these 2 models. Thanks in advance for all information especially from Edwin!

Answer:
Datograph uses the L951.1 movement and the DS uses the L001.1 movement Also the Datograph ticks with 18.000 and the DoubleSplit uses 21.600 beats per hour.
And according to the text on the Lange website the DS movement is newly developed
OTOH, both movements are 30.6mm in diameter.
Now I am confused too :-)

Answer:
The base movement is completely new, the integrated chrono is based heavily on the Datograph, but modified to suit double split rattrapante mechanism. The balance wheel is completely new, and inhouse in Glashutte.
Answer:
iirc the DS was the first Lange watch to use the newly developed spring and balance. Edwin
