Today's Antiquorum auction...

I found 3 interesting things about the results:
(1) The old YG Lange 1 with two backs (solid and display backs) and old Datograph-style box (2 brass latches) sold for what I thought was a bargain. That's a great deal for the lucky buyer!
(2) The RG 1815 Moonphase sold for what I believe is a record premium, by quite a large amount -- I've never heard of an RG 1815 moonphase selling above $30,000 USD until now.
(3) There were 2 platinum Perpetuals sold at this auction. One came with white gold deployant and winding box. The other came with platinum deployant but NO winding box. Interestingly, the former sold for $7000 USD MORE than the latter! I thought that's remarkable, unless I'm missing something here.
Answer:
... about the Perpetuals. I should've said, "The latter sold for $7000 USD MORE than the former!" -- my point being that the one without the winder actually sold for more money.
Answer:
Hi Cr
Hope you are well. Actually an 1815 moonphase rose gold sold for 34,500 in Antiquorum back in july of 2005. That is the record at auction for that reference.
