My crown came off today. Should I panic?

I've started to wind my Stealth with a back-and-forth motion, per the Lange website's instructions, but the "back" motion seems to have loosened the crown. I went to set the time and it began to slip. A couple of counterclockwise turns and the crown came free. I screwed it back on, but I'm concerned that I might have a problem that needs fixing. I'd appreciate the forum's thoughts and advice on this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Roger
Answer:
Panic, no. Worry, yes. It should be fixed by a authorized watchmaker. If you are a bit skilled yourself you could try to fix it temporarely to unscrew the crown, put a tine drop of nail paint (is that English?), with the aid of a needle or so, in the crowns inner thread and screw the crown back on. At least then you are certain that the interior of your watch is protected from dust or water.
By three methods we may learn wisdom; First, by reflection, which is the noblest. Second, by imitation, which is easiest and third by experience, which is bitterest.

...and I'm going to send it in.

No need to worry as I'm sure Alkis will take good care of it. Please keep us posted.
