Keeping up with Mr. Heusinkveld... A Lange, an enamel dial, and blued hands...
I never said it was all one watch, either. ;>)
The pocket watch was given to me from my grandmother on my 30th birthday. She picked it up at an estate sale in the 1970s; sadly, it was not a family heirloom. But it will be!
It is 14K pink gold with the second grade movement. It dates to 1905. I don't know for sure if it's an enamel dial, but it sure looks like one and it works for the title of this post. As far as I know, it is all original and doesn't look too bad for 100 years old! :>)
Answer:
both of them. I esp. love that sub-seconds dial on the Lange. The PW indeed
looks fantastic considering its age; it looks like it left the
Manufaktur just yesterday! I hope you get to enjoy it in the
best of health for lots and lots of years!
You´re picture are fantastic btw!
Another try at that (3D) enamel-´glow´. Same picture as in the
posting below but better color I guess (white balance adjusted a
little, difficult on a LCD panel, and NO USM applied and Noise
reduced using PhotoShops Median filter with radius 1 pixel):
You see the surface isnt exactly ´flat´ but it is alife, so to speak.
Best,
Edwin
aka Mr. Heusinkveld :-)
