Watch-Pop

my Lange-1

Answer:
Wow, very nice.
Hope it gives you years of enjoyment.

Answer:
This is the ultimate Lange, and it looks really attractive on your wrist, Edwin. Is it still the first strap? ... looks very new. You also see to have avoided scratches.
A very fine photo, btw. It manages to emphasize the three-dimensional character of the numerals and the subdials.
Have you ever got a comment on this watch?
Best,
Sven

Answer:
'capture' of what the Stealth actually looks like on the wrist. Well done Edwin.
Answer:
dramatically with the ambient conditions and angle with which
you look at it. The watch isnt in-focus totally which makes it
perhaps easier to capture the colors since the details dont
distract from the colors. Does this make sense? Anyway, I really
like your picture(s) too.
I tried to take a number of pictures all under the same light
conditions and all taken with the same F-stop and shutterspeed
of the watch on my wrist from different angles, but most of the
shots are (as this sample is too) blurry. I try it another time
and perhaps will do it with an overcast sky as well as on a
sunny day.
Thanks for the kind comments!

Answer:
scratches and ding galore :
Not a very sharp picture but the scratches are obviously there.
Never received a comment on the watch (not counting the few WIS
friends I have and other people knowing I am a watch nut).
I once was at a yearly watch and jewelery show by a high end
Dutch jeweler, invitation only, and the JLC representative from
the Manufaktur asked if he could wear my Dato since he had seen
it before but never got to wear it. In the mean time I was
wearing a LE Reverso Tourbillon Platinum no 2 on the left wrist
and a LE Septantieme in PT on the other wrist while I was
holding a LE PT Master Compressor in PT. Although my old Audi
was parked outside between a number of Ferrari´s and a HUGE new
RR and I spotted repeater watches on the wrists of other
attendee´s I was glad to get my Dato back :-) since I love it.
Between the Dato and this Lange-1, the latter is my absolute
favourite... but doesnt come as a surprise I guess LOL
The strap isnt new as it is almost 3 years old I think. I do
occasionally wear the watch on its orig black strap and in the
summertime I sometimes change it for a light/medium brown one.
Warmest regards,
Edwin
Answer:
I enjoy having this beauty strapped around my wrist. To me it is
THE ultimate watch available since it has all the usefull
complications I need (8 days PR manual caliber and jumping
seconds hands are on my wish/dream list). It is heavy and
teutonic without being ´cold´ and the dial is refreshing and
new, charming while still being, at least a little, austere,
beautifull but not loud ...
I did, and still do, consider getting a YG, RG and WG Lange-1
too, to build the ultimate collection and if money wasnt an
object I would already have done so :-)
Again thanks for the kind comments.
Best regards,
Edwin
