Aqua-Terra dial compatibility
For me at least, with a 38mm AT with the silver dial, it is not possible to tell the time with "Half a glance". The hands just do not stand out enough. I asked Omega UK whether they could fit the white dial (2803-33-37) to my 2503-30-00. The reply was that only black, blue and silver dials are available for this series. Since the calibre\movement are the same for both watches and since both watches are 38mm I cannot see the problem. Please can someone either tell me the significance of each digit in the model number or point me to a link where this can be found? I can only be certain that the second digit indicates a stainless steel or leather bracelet. Presumably the first digit indicates the 2500 movement.
Is the dial replacement physically impossible or is there some Omega policy thing here?
Thank you,
Peter

It's possible you just got someone who has a computer monitor in front of them that either doesn't reference the 2803.33.37 or doesn't specifically list it as compatible some how. They are the same case and the same movement. I'd contact Omega in Switzerland. I'll be real surprised if it's not possible. It's not like you'd be creating a Frankenwatch, the model of the configuration already esists. As far as the numbers go; the 2 represents Seamaster, the 8 represents Strap, the 03 represents the 38mm Co-Axial, the 33 is a modified silver dial, the 37 is a leather strap.

Answer:
Omega's reluctance is probably because you would wind up with an unofficial combination that way. It may have nothing to do with fit. A local watch repair shop MAY be willing and able to order the face and install it for you, though.

I will get onto Omega Switzerland if the UK people do not repond positively to a second, more detailed request.
Also thank you for the number information.
