Watch-Pop

It's official....my GMT looses 6 secs/day.

What should I do?
I wear the thing at night....perhaps I should take it off and rest it crown up all night?
Should I have it sent for calibration?
Any suggestions? BTW - I've owned it for slightly more than one month...

I've had my GMT recalibrated 4 times in almost 2 years. Mine still runs about +5 a day. I now just live with it & pull the crown out every couple of days till time catches up. I just wish she could give me lottery numbers to play. LOL
Answer:
...to determine which is best. The six positions are:
Crown Up
Crown Down
Face Up
Face Down
Crown Right
Crown Left
The last two are vertical, meaning you'll have to lean the watch against something.
You may find that some positions run faster, some slower. Find the one that best offsets your daily gain.
If no position helps, have it regulated. If it's under warranty this should not cost you anything.
Good luck,
Jim
Answer:
: it to regulation & check up. if it is dry , have it serviced under warranty.
When I bought mine, was running fast and had it regulated at omega. the watch never was very accurate. tending to go slow (4-5 secs /day). I had it serviced a copuple of months ago ( after 4 years of use) and is running around 4-5 secs fast now. acceptable .

Answer:
Remove the inner cover...and look down at the + and - regulation screw near the
balance wheel. Turn it with a #3 Screwdriver about 1/3rd of a turn towards the +.
Check it for a day or two, and see if it's not near perfect! I was able to get
my GMT to run 1 second fast in 5 days! Just take your time, and make sure the smallest
"end pieces" in the Case opener set, set in securely into the corners of the "round" indents.
If it's on too tight... abort! Only give it a firm try, then either proceed, or bail!
Answer:
hi there
i've tried this, and on average, my GMT has gained 0sec in the last month!!!
during the day, my watch gains roughly 2-3secs, but at night, i let my watch stand straight up, ie as if i am hanging the watch on a vertical wall with 12o'clock at the top, and it loses 2-3secs over night. i've timed my watch in the last month to www.time.gov, and it has gained 0 sec. amazing.
good luck and hope this works.
oh, you might like to try different positions, dial down, crown down, crown up, face vertical (like mine) or face vertical down (1200 at bottom) etc...
