Any speculation as to whether Omega will be coming out with a new "Split-Seconds" model, & if so,...
Does anyone have, or had, the current Split-Seconds model, and what do you think of it (pros and cons)?
Also, why are there so few Split-Seconds, if any, for sale?
Thanks for your input.
Kindest regards,
Bruce

Kindest regards, Bruce If you want one, I woudn't dally long before searching, finding and landing an example. For the Completists among collector's this model is not in very large supply, and you don't see them offered very often. --

Answer:
In 2001, I had in hand a Dealer Price List that showed the Speedmaster Split Second listed as "Phase Out - To Be Introduced at a Later Date". I think the speculation was that Omega was still going to try to release the Split Second with an "In-House" movement. Possibly F. Piquet based?BTW - Retail Price on the Split Second Speedmaster on a Bracelet is $4395.
