Golden Gate Returns To California!

I though I would share my experience with Omega factory service in Bienne. I had a very good experience with Omega an plan on sending 2 other watchs for service in the next few months.
1. I sent an email to Omega requesting information about service. They responded in about 4 days with instruction on how to ship my watch.
2. I first had to make a trip to the local Customs Office to have a Certificate of Registration signed and stamped. The Customs officer examined my watch and recorded the serial number on the form (Form 4455)
3. Next a trip to the post office where I sent my watch by Global Express Mail (items can only be insured up to $5,000.00 per pagkage)
4. In 10 days I received a very detailed letter about my watch including an estimate on the cost of service.

About 8 week later I received my watch in a very Omega cool travel case.

They did a good job restoring my watch to it's original condition. It look like new.

Hope you enjoy the pictures

Answer:
When your watch gets out of order you have a choice of two things to do: throw it in the fire or take it to the watch-tinker. The former is the quickest. -MT
