I was not aware that either co-axial nor De Ville's (at least modern ones) came with a moonphase.

Here is the eBay description (auction ends tomorrow):

"...Omega De Ville automatic watch with CO-AXIAL ESCAPEMENT,it is written on the back of the watch . I bought it by chance a few years ago but i`ve never worn it. The watch is brand new with transparent sticker on the back. It comes with certificate. Unfortunately it does not have a box. The watch shows: Day/Date/month & Moon phase. It is very fancy and cool watch specially for gift to someone."

The seller (without PayPal protection) previously offered it without bids for $739. (#5030582952)

Now PayPal would appear to be on the hook for reinbursement if the buyer is unhappy.

Googling revealed the same "Omega" watch to be for sale in Thailand for $129 in both black and white faces.

"Why is it that every time I think I know the answers, someone goes and changes the questions?"------------------------------------------- I agree ///100%fake!!!! I won the bid on this watch. Luckily I was warned about the possibility that it was a replica. I contacted the seller and told him I was not going thru with the purchase. I explained that the mention of the "certificate" acts to authenticate a watch that is not an Omega as described throughout his auction.

I kindly offered not to report him as per eBay's policies regarding selling fakes because I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he might unknowingly believe that he has a real Omega.

Here's his reply:

You are not right,but its up to you. Do not you see the watch comes with certificate. i will not pay Ebays fee because of your incorrect infor. I will send your form for agreement not to complete the deal, just write down "I put the wrong price" and please next time do NOT bid when you are not sure in yourself and listening the peoples bull[word removed].
