Larger Size Vintage Omega?
Thanks!
Paul
Answer:
If large and vintage are the criteria, then a vintage Seamaster 300 should fit the bill well. Over the years smaller was generalyl perceived as more desirable, so there aren't a great many large vintage watches out there. The Speedmaster moon watch would have been my other suggestion, but won't fit the bill if you want a non-chrono. A vintage Railmaster might be another good choice. And if you want REALLY large, there have been some converted old Omega pocketwathces popping up on the Eastern European market lately, and they are often around 55mm! If you decide to go after one of these, be careful, as they are some of the most faked Omegas out there. There was apparently eve a sizeable fake market when these things were still new, and it's easy to cobble together a pretty convincing Frankenwatch 300 as it was similar to many other models.

But mechanical watches partake of what my friend John Clute calls the Tamagotchi Gesture. They're pointless in a peculiarly needful way; they're comforting precisely because they require tending." - WG
