A pile of Seamasters...
Well, here's a few Seamasters I've collected over the past couple years, including the new GMT I got for Christmas, but not including a couple of other vintage pieces I have out for repair. The next addition to the pack? I'm looking at a white face/blue marker 42mm Aqua Terra(2502.33), or a Seamaster Bond Pro or Railmaster.
Right now, the frontrunner is the Aqua Terra -- Any feedback/experiences on the auto AT's anyone would like to share?
Thanks,
Ray
Answer:
I'm a big fan of the Aqua Terras, and we have 3 in our household. I really like that black dial Seamaster you have there with the arabic numerals. That's very sharp.

That's a nice little watch -- a 12,xxx,xxx bumper and obviously a redial, but very nicely done... the redial readily apparent due to the vivid lume and crisp printing that's executing so perfectly it looks like it's 1950. I put it on a Hirsch Shark chrono and SS butterfly clasp and it's a pure joy to wear (thu-thump, thump, thump...). :)

Nice collection. I've been looking at the white/blue AT myself and like that version best. I think the AT would be a good addition to your collection. It can easily dress up and dress down: more sporty than a Datejust and more dressy than a Bond SMP or PO. Regards,

Answer:
You have lots of silver or white dials already, so I think adding an Aqua Terra would be redundant. A Railmaster would be good too, but you don't have a blue dial and the design of the Bond is just so nice. It would add more character to your already outstanding collection.

Answer:
but the Railmaster seems like it would be the most in keeping with your collection and what your taste seems to be.
"Mechanical watches are so brilliantly unnecessary. Any Swatch or Casio keeps better time, and high-end contemporary Swiss watches are priced like small cars. But mechanical watches partake of what my friend John Clute calls the Tamagotchi Gesture. They're pointless in a peculiarly needful way; they're comforting precisely because they require tending." - WGHow old is my vintage Omega? - Omega Serial Numbers by Year
