Do you recognize this cool Seamaster?
I believe the Ref Num is 2054.50.000, but I cannot find it on Omega's website.
Is this watch in the current line or was in discontinued?
Answer:
bracelet on the black and black SMP, along with some of the other models. Best Regards,
Damon When your watch gets out of order you have a choice of two things to do: throw it in the fire or take it to the watch-tinker. The former is the quickest. -MT
Answer:
2054.50.00 is the correct model number for the black dial SMP on the Bond bracelet. It was discontinued in 2003 when Omega put the watch on the Speedy style bracelet and changed the model number to the current 2254.50.00. The watch is the same, the only difference is the bracelet. MSRP on that model at the time it was discontinued was $1750.
Answer:
to replace that bracelet with the Speedy. I think that combo is one of the best in the Seamaster line I've ever seen. Very sporty.

Answer:
It would be a good buy at the right price since the combination with the Bond bracelet has been discontinued. Indeed, the only occasion I ever saw one such for sale was in the SC back in September last year. Do let us know what you decide.

Answer:
Very nice combination. I have always preferred the bond bracelet on it over the speedy bracelet and am glad I was able to get it when I did.
I don't grow the beans, I just count them
Answer:
Got mine soon after the model was introduced, in 2001 as a factory replacement for a Lancaster botched mid-size Bond model. At the time this model was introduced, the "Bond" bracelet was retained because of popularity in the U.S.A., while the "Speedy" style bracelet was introduced with the black dial/sword hand model elsewhere. As already mentioned, the Bond bracelet was phased out with this model sometime around early 2003.
I have both bracelets for mine, and both are nice and have their own attributes. I still give the Bond bracelet the edge for comfort and looks, although the Speedy bracelet may well be more appropriate aesthetically for this model. It has all become moot for me during the past year, since my 42mm black bezel Planet Ocean gets all of my dive watch wrist time and the venerable old SeMP lives in my watch box.

Answer:
The Bond bracelet on my 2531.80 SMP is hands-down the most comfortable bracelet I have ever worn. I also think it has a certain "elegance" to it that makes it look more sophisticated. However, I must admit I like the fact that my 2254.50 has a different bracelet, only because it makes the watch more unique. Besides, I can always put the Bond bracelet from my 2531.80 on my 2254.50 if I want to.
Answer:
they've also stopped selling it on the black rubber strap too which is just as nice.
