WATCH POP

hi guys, i wanted to ask how to you polish hesalite with toothpaste?
last nite while in the washroom, i accidentally hit my watch against the bottom of the sink and it left a huge mark across the crystal
i used tooothpaste to polish it out, it is gone however, i was left with microswirls on the crystal
how do you remove those microswirls
fyi, my polishing method was, put a dab of toothpaste on kleenex and polish in circular slow motion
but i dont know what to do for the final polish to bring it back to its original condition

Currently I use polywatch with the same technique, 'polish in circular slow motion', and finish the work with soaped water that adds a nice 'bright'.

I'd try some well-washed cotton cloth or cloth suitable for optical use with the polishing compund of your choice.

i suspect its a combination of course toothpaste and kleenex
i will try to find some lens cleaning paper

Des I use Simichrome applied in a circular motion with micro fiber cloth. I have several vintage watches with plastic and glass crystals and I get excellent results. The micro fiber cloth (recommended to clean flat panel displays) is super gentle will not leave swirl marks. Its okay to apply a little elbow grease for the deeper scratches.
