Speedmaster Pro - Chrono question
Answer:
When your watch gets out of order you have a choice of two things to do: throw it in the fire or take it to the watch-tinker. The former is the quickest. -MT
Answer:
I agree with Chuck as to stopping in the middle of the dial/s. With my recently acquired Pro, I've decided to let the chrono run all the time. I like the sweep second hand running and synched to the sub seconds hand. I paid for a chrono, I might as well get the pleasure of watching it run.
Answer:
The reason for stopping it off of 12 is so it doesn't 'interfere' with the nice OMega Speedmaster logo at the top. Obviously a pretty insignificant issue. I'd be inclined to let it run too, but was concerned that would create added wear to the chrono movement and require more service or decrease life of the movement? With a watch as reliable as the Speedmaster it's probably not a big concern, but does anyone have an opinion on that issue? IF you do leave it running, is winding the watch with the chrono running okay too? I didn't know if that would be any different than winding it with the movement stopped. Thanks. By the way, I'm also trying to find a post with a picture of a Speedmaster Pro on a Omega kevlar (x-33 type) strap - I saw it before, but can't find it in the search - does anyone recall seeing this that could point me in the direction?
