Question about Speedy Pro accuracy change
Speedy Pro, Bond SMP, incoming 2234.50 GMT, T-H Auto Chrono, T-H quartz chrono
Answer:
Could be the full wind you talk about. Could be the position you rest it in, the amount of shock it experiences throughout the day, temperature deviation, chronograph use, small amounts of debris in the movement or small elves fiddling with it while you sleep. I wouldn't worry about it unless it was WAY out of timing.
Answer:
My new to me Speedy Pro, flat out quit last night. Suddenly, I remembered, "MANUAL" wind! All is fine now. ;) I think manual watches need to be fully wound in order to exhibit best accuracy but with mechanical watches, I don't worry about it too much. Mine all do a good enough job that I never seem to be late to anything.
Answer:
...I wind it fully daily when I get dressed (usually at the same time). I have two 40 year old Speedmasters that run within a few seconds per day. I also noticed that it gains time (variates a second or two) in cooler weather. Have your's checked out as, like Andrew states, there might be a little dust or debris in the movement. Cheers,
Federico
Answer:
I'll go with the elves theory :)
