Seamaster bracelet fell apart ????

I've had the titanium model seamaster for several years. This morning I was walking my dog (luckily I was wearing a windbreaker with elastic cuffs) when I felt my watch let go on my wrist. I though that maybe the clasp had opened, but when I reached inside my sleeve the watch wasn't on my wrist. Luckily the elastic cuff kept it from falling to the ground. I found a pin and two small sleeves in my sleeve as well. I think that these are all the parts, but when I put it all back together the pin will fall right back out. Doesn't matter which end I start from or the direction the pin goes in - its too loose. Did I lose a part, could the holes have worn too large, any suggestios?
Wouldn't you know, I'm on vacation. I have an extra link and the other parts from it back home - won't help me for another week or so. Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can give me.

(photo is from Otto Frei site - hope that's ok...)

If your bracelet looks similar to this photo, it sounds like you found all the parts. The pin should fit tightly into the small sleeves and lock in place. Not sure why it isn't doing so. Current sotc: Omega Aqua Terra, Omega Seamaster GMT, Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66, Omega Seamaster DeVille 550, Omega Seamaster Deville 560, Hamilton c.987A, Epos 7751, Seiko diver 7S26, Hamilton Tachymiler, Citizen Skyhawk A-T (quartz! *gasp*).But by the grace of God I am what I am.
Answer:
It sounds like something failed in the mechanism if the pin won't fit snugly inside the sleeves. If that is the case (perhaps you can find a local watch repair place to where you are), you may have to go without until you can get a replacement piece.
Answer:
Yes it is exactly like your picture, so I guess that I did not lose any pieces.
However the pin is loose when I put it all back together.
I did buy it at a store here when on vacation several years ago, but they have since stopped carrying Omega. Maybe they still have parts.
Thanks for the help - I feel naked without a watch and its only been a few hours :(

Hmmm...

I've never heard of such bracelet failure before. I just can't imagine that your bracelet is so worn that connecting pin is able to fall out while bushings are still intact.

Here is a diagram of the Speedy-style bracelet.

The idea is similar to a Seamaster (Bond-style) the difference is: two bushing are used in Seamaster.
Those small bushings you found are placed over the pin to prevent the pin from rotating in the bracelet.
Therefore preventing it from wearing out and getting loose.

In any case, your best option - remove the bracelet and put a strap on for now. Simply put: if your bracelet is that worn - I would check the rest of the pins as they should be pretty worn as well.

Answer:
Good idea, just get a cheapo strap for now until you can get the bracelet seen to. If you ask Chuck Norris what time it is, he always says, "Two seconds 'til." After you ask, "Two seconds 'til what?" he roundhouse kicks you in the face. Chuck Norris doesn't wear a watch, HE decides what time it is!

It sounds like you might be missing a bushing for the pin to be loose and fall out. The man who never makes a mistake always takes orders from one who does.
Answer:
into either of the sleeves? It should be tight and not slip right through. As I recall from my SS Seamaster bracelet, both sleeves have a crimped or necked-down ring in the middle and the pin should be a tight fit into either sleeve. Current sotc: Omega Aqua Terra, Omega Seamaster GMT, Omega Speedmaster 105.012-66, Omega Seamaster DeVille 550, Omega Seamaster Deville 560, Hamilton c.987A, Epos 7751, Seiko diver 7S26, Hamilton Tachymiler, Citizen Skyhawk A-T (quartz! *gasp*).But by the grace of God I am what I am.
Answer:
I too have had the same problem. Order a set of pins and bushings from O. Frei. Watch the direction of the arrows on the back side of the link. The pin will be very tight and probably need a small hammer to get it back. Then use a bracelet tool to drive the pin slightly below the surface. You will actually feel a small ckick when the "bump" in the pin gets caught by the inside of the bushing.
If you send me your e-mail address I'll send you a tutorial from one of our WIS friends.
Mine was exactly like yours in that it was trapped inside the sleeve of my jacket.

Answer:
I did take it to a local jewelry store today. The jeweler said he had never seen one come apart before either.
He said he flattened out the pin a little so it fit tightly.
I would like to see your tutorial so I'll send you my email address.
Thanks for all the help!!
Answer:
If it does, then the holes on the link has worn too large. If the bushings are loose on the pins, then the pins are worn. Let no good deed go unpunished.
