urgent question

I am to pick up my omega seamster po chrono tomorrow (already paid mucho) and I just read that there were problems with the 3313 calibre; however Omega says that they are up to the D series and have smoothed out the problems. How can I know what series my watch is??
Answer:
Regards,
Mike

Myself: Rolex DateJust (Z/116201) with Pink Diamond Dial / Rolex GMT-Master II-C TT (M/116713LN)
Mom: Rolex Lady DateJust (Z/179173) / Omega "My Choice" (MOP Dial and Diamond MOP Dial) Counting down to BASELWORLD 2009...
Answer:
what is movement range number? Will the watch have a letter as to what series it is?
Answer:
there aren't any "series" for the 33xx calibres. All the PO Chronographs have the same 3313 movement within them. The (non-chronograph) Planet Ocean has the 2500C movement, so perhaps this is what you are referring to.

Answer:
This is the chrono version. Is the 3313 an omega in house calibre or eta. here.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=2596210&rid=0
Answer:
is made for Omega by Frederic Piguet. It isn't a true in-house movement, but can be considered an in-family movement since both Omega and Piguet are a part of the Swatch Group.

Answer:
Did you read the link as to the questionable problems?
Answer:
I believe the problems started with the 3303. The fix was supposedely made to the production 3301, and the same parts supplied to the problem 3303's.

Should a problem develop with your PO Chrono, the warranty is in place to remedy such issues. And for what it's worth, it seems that the 33xx "issues" happen with less frequency now.

After having so many watches and selling them all for money (or lack of it) reasons I want to settle on a watch that will last for a life time. I don't want to buy something to have it serviced. I could buy a casio g-shock and wear it for 30 years but what would be the fun in that? What would you say the odds are of a problem arising?
Answer:
I would just ensure it is a current production watch within the last year(or sooner).
Just enjoy it. I would think and hope Omega has all the wrinkles out of the movement, since it is relying heavily on it.
My newer BA has been fine the past 3 years.
