Omega newbie help on Seamaster GMT
Are there fine adjustments to length within the clasp or is it only possible by adding/removing links. If that's the case are half links available? Does anyone have any pics of the bracelet and/or clasp?
Thanks in advance for your help guys
Answer:
How is it done is this easily done myself. Are special tools required or recommended. Thanks
Answer:
There is one half link that comes with the bracelet. Unfortunately, Seamasters do not have a fineadjustment in the clasp. The links are secured with pins and colars and can be removeg with a link removal tool by yourself (these are available right here on the sales corner). If you don't have one of these tools, it's best to let a pro do it because they are in there very tight. Good luck!

The white dialled GMT has been discontinued by Omega but you may still find one at an AD, best be quick though...!

Here is my Seamaster GMT. I don't think I've posted this one before and I'm getting ready to put it on a strap. The clasp on mine is the push button type and is pretty secure. As JP posted the bracelet tool and the sizing, the bracelet has a bushing and a pin. Lose the bushing and your sunk. Get one of the sizing tools from
mywatchmaker.com with the long pin for Omegas and your set. Just don't lose the bushing. I know because I've lost half a dozen.
And by the way......don't lose the bushing.

I have one of those tools in the photo. I recommend you are very careful when reinserting the pin. I slightly bent the permanant pin within the half link the first time I did this myself.

You're going to love Omegas, take it from me. I love Rolex also and have worn them for over 40 years. Omegas are great watches and terrific values for the money. Here are my three. I don't have a Seamaster GMT yet but maybe soon... I like the black GMT but the white is nice also. Nice to see a confirmed rolex lover, like me, also be interested in Omegas. Good luck.

The black dial GMT just does'nt do it for me. However, I REALLY like that white one. I think I would put it on a strap as well. Jim, with all of the straps you buy, you must have single handedly put Bob Davis' kids through college. - David

Hi Johnny... I've been a very happy owner of a SEADWELLER which itself was a long time in the making, and have just recently bought a PLANET OCEAN CHRONOGRAPH. I love the different look of the PO & admire the size of it on my wrist. I would love a GMT PO, which is on the way from what I've read.....Long story short though, just buy a watch you like the look of. I know you won't be disappointed about the quality of make, finish...and in some respects I think the PO has the edge over the ROLEX....the metal bracelet in particular is FANTASTIC to wear & moulds to the wrist beautifully...
Good luck, you really can't go wrong with an OMEGA.
