Answer:
already yield better results, as may bounce flash onto the ceiling or wall, providing it has a white surface. Have you noticed how dark the metal of your watch gets, and how difficult to control the reflections still are.
So the answer to your question is 'yes', you still need one.
As a simple and cheap means to get instant better results I see your point, but (this is meant as a positive critique) your pictures could not be used in a professional photographic context.
As a general rule it is always better to try to enhance one's skills, whether you are a professional or an amateur (in the sense of someone who is passionate about his hobby).
I am a professional photographer and one of the things I learned to do when studying photography was how to photograph metal objects and objets with lots of reflections. Believe me, we spent a great deal of time in the studio getting things like these right, a light tent or light box being only one of the means to achieve better pictures and not the best one by the way either.
Kind regards.

Answer:
I agree natural light gives me best results - by coincidence I was playing with my new mini-tripod over the weekend (apart from the last two images below) and mainly outside. Still not quite got that great shot yet though. Nigel Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana - Groucho Marx
