Questions about the AT and water
How many of you have used your AT:
1) in the pool
2) In the sea (just swimming), not diving.
3) Is the clasp/pins secure for such activities?
Thanks for the input.
PS: I've read Omega's chart already and know about rinsing the watch afterwards with fresh water, etc.
Answer:
and swimming. But, when I went into the sea I would wear it on a NATO since you can't see the sea floor as well as a pool bottom should the watch had come off. Best Regards,
Damon When your watch gets out of order you have a choice of two things to do: throw it in the fire or take it to the watch-tinker. The former is the quickest. -MT
Answer:
I've worn mine serveral times in both pool and ocean (swimming, not diving) always on bracelet. Haven't had it come off yet. I like to live dangerously!

Answer:
for pool duty i see no problem. usually wear my seiko but once in a while i get caught without it and with my AT. i couldn't see a problem with salt water either since you know about the rinse.
main thing imo is temp change. no sauna/whirlpool fallowed by a dive into a cool/cold pool. no baking in the hot sun and jumping into a cold lake either for me. my seiko diver is perfect for these testy activities. otherwise...i think the AT can do just about anything with respect to normal swimming.

Answer:
So i believe it would be no problems for the water. But i would definitely swap it over on to something like a NATO where i know it's secure... not much of a fan of the one button slider clasp... -Nothing in life worth having comes easy- "Can you feel it? SamKan!"
