Stem removal on a Speedsonic
Answer:
Assuming that you have the caseback off: Place some scotch tape onto the crystal in order to protect it.
Lay it face down, crown to the right.
Release any clamps connecting the movement with the case.
Where the stem enters the movement, you will see, below that
axis, a silver button with a depression in the middle.
Now, with a fine screwdriver, or pick, or tweezers, push down
VERY gently on that button, at the same time you are pulling
the crown out.
Now the movement should fall out into your hands.
Advice: If you have never done this before on any other
watch, I would suggest that you let a watchmaker
do it for you lest you damage something.
