My new Seamaster Aqua Terra, 35mm Quartz
After much shopping, advice (thanks Walt T from public forum) and reasearch, I ordered the Aqua Terra Seamaster Midsize Quartz, 35mm with blue dial. The 38mm is just too big for me. 35mm looks great on my wrist. Had to order it because this size is scarce (38s in stock). Will arrive anywhere from 10 days to 3 or 4 weeks.
I am really excited and can not wait, Purchased my first Seamaster in the early 1970s--See other post about this tonight. Will post info on my impressions, accuracy, etc. after I get it and have had time to assess it.
Thanks for listening...Reading losts of meassages on this forum helped me decide. This is my third Omega.

: HiMy research indicates that its a third generation modlue--well made-- and modifed by ETA for Omega.
Thermally compensated. Thus I belive it is rated at +/-20 seconds a year vs the 15 seconds a month of the average quartz module.
The Quartz vs Automatic decision for ME was based on several factors: I am an accuracy freak. So the Quartz vs Automatic was a no brainner for me. I wanted a quality watch, I already have a new Seiko Premier (List price $575). Third I wanted high level water resistance ( I just think the watch will last longer) even if I am never in water. Price, the Quartz is ~ $1000. less than Automatic. List $2495 vs $1450. Quality brand, service readily available. Last I like the look and design of the watch.
Those were my factors. If the accuracy of Quartz vs Automatic is not an issue there are hundreds of good automatics at the Omega Quartz price point or less.

Good reasons. I just happen to be a "tick" guy - can barely get used to automatics over manual winds. Nice choice on your new watch and I hope you enjoy it!: : Hi
