New member of the Omega family

Hello everyone. I recently took delivery of a Omega Planet Ocean. I have had my eye on them for a while and finaly found one from a member here on the site. I have to admit since I received it and had it on my wrist for a day it definatly wears like a much smaller watch. It fits the wrist better than alot of watches. I have a Submariner which is a smaller watch however it feels larger on my wrist. I love the hands on this watch I cant say enough good things about it. I am in the process of figuring out how to get a photobucket account and get some pictures posted. I use to wear Tags often, probably 4 days a week and I can see that they are now going to begin to disapear from my collection and be replaced with Omegas. The model I purchased is the 2201.50.00 with the black bezel and face. I absolutly love this watch.

Welcome to the Planet Ocean family. I take it you bought the 45.5mm case. It is a large watch that does not wear like a hockey puck. The design makes a bold statement in elegant simplicity; no garish designs, no useless gimmicks, no oversized markers and indices, no ornate roccoco bezel, no frilly crown ornamentations. Just a good clean balanced look. that co-ax has been doing well with many, many PO owners telling all on the web about its accuracy of 2-3 seconds. My PO is 2.5 or so seconds fast/day. That's very high accuracy.

I think that if you compare the Tags to this you'll find the Tags to be overly frilly and would prefer the clean mature look on Omegas. The PO comes with the best bracelet I think--it's a Rolex Oyster clone with large bold links without the busy wiggy waggy "vertebrae" link style on the Tags.

Wear it in good health. Rolex Daytona, TT, white face, 2006. D series. Omega Speedmaster Pro, SS Bracelet, Hesalite; Omega SS Seamster Planet Ocean 45.5mm Orange bezel.
