Replacement parts on Red 1680
I have the chance to purchase a 70's vintage 1680, but am concerned about the origin of its case and dial.
The case could be a replacement one. I wonder if there is an usual serial number for replacement cases? This one has a 200.000 serial.
The dial has an all white writing Luminova with a SWISS only. I believe that's a service dial. The seller claims the watch has been serviced by Rolex and the original dial, which is a RED Sub writing in very bad shape, was then replaced by its current all white one. Would they do that? Instead of replacing it to another RED writing one, or perhaps refinish it?
I will work on some shots and hopefully post them soon.
I am new on this and really appreciate any help you may offer me.

The Red dials have been depleted for years. I sent one back a few months ago and they suggested it be replaced with a white dial as well. If you google red submariner it will lead you to many reference websites to help you identify your watch.
