Hi All;
Herewith my latest find; a nice 1680 18k Submariner with nipples, to say nothing about the little addition to the lower dial.
Should clean up nicely, I think.

16520 Daytona Lover half way on a flight to Dublin I'll guess.
I know his research on the 18kt 1680 is progressing nicely, but that Mid-Eastern dial will be a new one for him to add to his records: nice catch JD!
And when F-B-H gets back from his Guinness-fest, perhaps he will enlighten us with a guestimate on numbers: he did impart he's only found twenty eight 18kt 1680s which have come to the market in recent years... and he has gone back quite some time.
MW A few years ago I found an AD counter top display portrait and it set me on a mission to obtain a watch with this unique dial configuration.
It was also pictured in other Rolex booklets and advertising.
Try as I might I never saw one of these come to market much less observed anyone posting a version from their collection. Then by chance a proper dial and hand set fell into my hands.
The next step was to find an appropriate case and bracelet combination which would compliment the dial. That proved to be a mercurial undertaking as it was never defined which production numbers recieved these dials. Even the oldest gold Submariner I ran into (2,37x,xxx) was sporting a 660/200 dial. Go figure.
Through this wonderful community of passionate collectors of which I am proud to be a participant the case and bracelet became available which would forever house this unique bit of nipple dialed artistry 2,398,xxx.
