While shopping in the Las Vegas Premium Outlet Mall last month, I came across the Seiko factory store where they had a display of Black & Orange Monsters with rubber straps and bracelets.I was wearing my IWC GST Auto-Chrono at the time, so it was going to be very difficult to find something that I liked better.
As soon as I held the BM I know there was something there. The weight of the watch felt so good. The bracelet was very well made and so comfortable. The width & height of the case was substantial. All to say, I was so impressed with the watch, that I bought one on the spot, at I price that I couldn’t believe (check your e-mail for that information)
The BM has become my weekend watch. Whatever I miss from the chrono function of the GST, I use the rotating unidirectional bezel to time any activity.
Here are a few photos that I hope could help you decide:
Answer:
expensive watches but the BM has really opened my eyes to the idea of value. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with a Monster.

The only problem is... that after you bougth the Black Monster, you would like it so much that you want to buy the Orange Monster too!I did :0)

Martijn,I actually just received my Seiko Black Monster in the mail, and I have it on as I type this. I purchased it from a fellow TZ-er (Thanks again, Alan) on a black kevlar strap with single deployant, and I absolutely love the way it looks/feels. Like you, I am an Omega SMP man. I have the "Bond" Seamaster in quartz, and the Black SMP GMT. I was thinking about buying a Breitling SOP for my collection, but I decided that I was in the market for a sort of "presentable beater" - something that I would be happy wearing out, but at the same time something that I would not be worried about taking some hits. This is perfect. Granted I've only had it for about an hour now, but I have to tell you, this is one watch that is as good in real life, if not better, than it appears in pictures. I recommend it highly.

: I'm rather new in Seiko-land, but my eye was caught by watch that I believe goes by the name of the
"Black Monster". It looks incredibly good on pictures but how is it in real life? I own a Omega Seamaster
Pro and am pretty fond of that watch. Whats the history of this Seiko? Any comments, thoughts
regarding this watch?? Oh, and where can I get one for a good price and good service? (better respond on that
last question by e-mail)
Many thanks in forward!

When I read you're enthousiastic e-mail is must be a true beast! I have the priveledge of owning watches from brands like Omega, Girard-Perregaux and Blancpain, and to be honest the price of the BM sounds too good to be true. I mean, it costs about the same as a nice croco-strap........ Soon I will receive my very first Seiko. I'm very curious about that one, but I'm affraid that very soon I also want the monster.....Many thanks to you all!
Have a great weekend!
