Anyone know if this Seiko 5 can be fitted with a>>>>

Answer:
You could get a rubber strap that matches the witdth between the lugs. However, this would not match the contours of the watchcase and may look a little narrow for the watch. Get a rubber strap that already has a shoulder, or modify one to fit. Below is a post I made some time back on modifying a rubber strap to fit a Seiko 5 that normally took an integrated bracelet. Your watch would be even more suitable as it wouldn't require such drastic cutting.
Here is the watch with the integrated bracelet fitted.
I found this 20mm silicon rubber strap on deployant at one of those mall watch repair kiosks. It matched the contours of the watch case well. I can't recall the brand.
The strap required trimming to fit between the lugs.
Trimming was accomplished via deft use of a hobby knife with a nice sharp blade.
The result. I think it looks OK and it certainly feels very comfortable on the wrist. The area of the rubber strap that now takes the strain has been reduced but still appears to have reasonable strength.

Neatly done Paul - think I'll buy a couple of those "no name" rubber deployants from my local street market and start playing...
