Answer:
What do they call that thing? What is the model number? That is one sweet watch!
Answer:
It's a Seiko SCVG005. It was a limited edition homage to the early classic Seiko designs. The original list price was 50,000 Yen. The case is stainless steel, and it has a sapphire crystal. The 4S24 movement is really first-rate, and you can learn more about it at the link below.

Sorry guys, the original link (in the above post) was too long, so I've tried a different approach. Hopefully it will work, as the article on the 4S24 movement is excellent, for those of you who are interested. Best regards,

Well, it still didn't work, apparently as this system can't deal with a long URL. Those of you who are determined can simply copy and paste this URL, which I've split into two parts: http:///Forum/78440/message/1023219711/Inside+the+Seiko+Cal.+4s24+

At 50,000 yen what is that in US Dollars MSRP? I would love to have that one! Eagle Day August 15, 1940 On Wisconsin Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges
Answer:
Hi Pat, That would be about $430 today, but, unfortunately, this watch was only made in limited numbers about 10 years ago. If you are patient, you should be able to find one on the used market eventually, though it may cost you considerably more for a fine example.
