The Original "New Vintage" Zenith

Just thought to post this, as I have never before seen the original version and now I have it. Recently I bought here in Switzerland a completely revised original 1965 Zenith "New Vintage", actually I use this name just because Zenith made axclusive re-edition of 250 pieces of these watches last year. About the specs - 18 Ct rose gold automatic, 28 rubies, date, 18 000 A/h, 50 hours power reserve. Cal. 2522 PC. Unfortunately I don't know how to post an image in this forum. The watch is smaller (30x30 mm) than the contemporary version and the word "authomatic" is below the "Zenith" and not under the arrows. Runs +8 sec/day, no surprise, after 40 years and a renovation.
My question is - does anybody have information how many of these watches were made and what would be the average price?
Thank you
Answer:
Hi,
I would love to see a picture of your watch...
I have this one in steel, but the caliber is 2542PC. According to my source 225 000 pieces of this caliber was produced during 1964-1969. Naturally the caliber was used in many different cases, I have a round cased example too...
The source has no entry for caliber 2522PC, but then again I've ran into missing calibers before...
I think the production years atleast are fairly accurate. Every engraved watch that I have matches the years given.
The watch in the photo suffers from a bad redial and a brutal case restoration. By accident I managed to take a photo that hides most of the faults...
