Advice for A New Novice Collector

I am a seasoned vintage fountain pen collector that hapenned to get into looking at some of the amazing vintage watches out there.
I recently (on impulse) purchsed a Tissot Seastar wind up and a Favre Lueba wind up. Each of these watches has an amzingly colorful face, the SeaStar is a deep blue and the Favre a celladon green.
I'm wondering whether these watches are authentic. I have found only a few sellers out there that seem to have similar watches. I haven't yet searched for information on these watches either. If anyone could give me their thoughts it would be most appreciated. Any references to reliable information on vintage Tissots or Favre Luebas would be really appreciated as well.
Regards, Ari

Thanks, I guess what I am learning is that the dials on these may have been refinished but the movements and case are authentic. I wish I new how to put a value on these. I would love to know whether with the dial refinishing I paid too much.

Answer:
we should be able to give you a likely assessment of whether the dials are original or not.

Thank you. I unfortunately don't have a site where I can post the photos. If you would like I would be happy to e-mail them to you.

Answer:
The FL looks original to me, as I've seen others like that. I don't recall seeing a blue Tissot like that, but that dial still looks likely to be original from what I can see in this picture. Higher resolution pictures would be better.

Thank you for your thoughts. I will have to see if I can get better pictures. I also have to figure out how I can get them on a server.

Answer:
all Seastar Sevens came in one-piece cases. As such I would be surprised if the dial was not original. Tom.

Perhaps they are redials. Where did you get them? /index.php?t=tree&goto=1913479&rid=10370
Answer:
Not correct colour at all.
I'm guessing these watches came from India?
Cheers, Neil.
Answer:
I got mine of e-bay off course...

Can anyone shed any light on the redials from India. Are the simply painted dials? What is the story...
